lets dig into it first of all modern day trends, amazing or meaningless, I tried to adapt and find labubus rlly cute but is it really fashion if its not style?

in todays gen, we follow trends without reason and buy when popular, obvi 2000s was similar but different and how so?

do you imagine yourself wearing a labubu once its out of trend? or those simplistic Nike tops, do you really FEEL that it fits your aesthetic? The difference is that past trends promoted individuality and self expression, you feel GOOD wearing those clothes and you got to pick what you liked due to wide variety to be yourself!

Now imagine modern fast fashion trends, all logos and no fashion, I want actually walked and saw a simplistic black hoodie on the black in white normal font that said the phrase "street wear." no design or artistic flare and then I looked in the store and it was packed?!?

clothes are to be read from style not whatever that was....

and now we got cheap materials, overflooded with polyester and tbh I think we can all say it doesn't even look good...

I'm on a rant but I feel as if many can agree
